I take my cane on vacation, and it came in handy this year. My wife was distracted by a motorcyclist with viking horns on his (football) helmet, stepped wrong off a curb, and twisted her ankle. So she got to use the cane for a day or so. My new motto: Keep Calm and Carry a Big Stick.
